The UNSPBF community is composed of registered knowledge contributors, donors and participants representing multiple sectors. Thematic Expert Groups may be convened to provide expert recommendations on specific topics.

As a multi-sector, multilateral process, UNSPBF convenings seek to ensure balanced cross-sector representation across policy, business, science and society, while upholding the principles of equality, diversity, justice, equity and gender parity.

UNSPBF’s work is delivered primarily through partnerships with a wide range of partners and supporters. Strategic partnerships with organizations and institutions may be established between UNSPBF, Member States, academia, and public or private entities that meet the UNSPBF due diligence requirements.

Where a prospective partner is already a member of the UN Global Compact, or has successfully completed a due diligence process conducted by a United Nations entity, an omnibus due diligence process may apply.

All knowledge products and outputs contributed through UNSPBF observe applicable standards relating to propriety, confidentiality, copyright and reporting.

To be considered, partners should meet three core requirements:

– Demonstrated environmental leadership and commitment to sustainability
– Commitment to sharing knowledge and expertise
– Ability to mobilize communities and networks in support of the Forum’s work

Once due diligence has been completed and all requirements have been verified, partners are offered a unique opportunity to share knowledge, access distinctive networks, and help shape the future of sustainability and global cooperation.
